The Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Network is seeking applicants with developmental disabilities for the 2018-19 Barbara Wilensky Gopen Fellowship. This Fellowship is an opportunity for a person with a developmental disability who has finished school to work part-time in an office environment on a disability project of interest. The Fellowship is for one year, from July 2018-June 2019.
The Fellowship is based at the Institute for Community Inclusion/UMass Boston, and the Fellow works occasionally at the Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council in Quincy. The annual salary for 20 hours per week is $20,000, paid biweekly. Individuals concerned about how the Gopen Fellowship’s income might affect their Social Security or Medicaid benefits can open/contribute to an ABLE Account.
Fellowship and application instructions. Applications are due on or before Tuesday, May 15, 2018.
